Phlebotomy
This comprehensive course prepares students for a career in phlebotomy by providing the knowledge and hands-on skills required for safe and effective blood collection. Topics include anatomy and physiology, infection control, specimen handling, venipuncture techniques, and patient interaction. Students will gain practical experience through supervised clinical practice. Upon successful completion, participants will be eligible to sit for a national phlebotomy certification exam.
Medical Technician
This course trains students for essential roles in clinical and laboratory settings, combining classroom instruction with hands-on experience. Topics include medical terminology, clinical procedures, laboratory safety, specimen collection and processing, basic diagnostics, and patient care support. This program prepares students to work alongside healthcare professionals and to sit for national certification exams required for entry-level medical technician positions.
GNA Certification
This course prepares students to become certified Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs), specializing in the care of elderly patients in long-term care and assisted living settings. Students will learn essential nursing skills, including personal care, vital signs monitoring, infection control, communication, and patient safety. The program includes both classroom instruction and supervised clinical training. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to take the state GNA certification exam and begin a rewarding career in elder care.
